Rogue kicks off Thursday morning, with an optional two hour tour of The Farm on Central.
Arrive by 8.30 at 572 central Ave, Carlisle, OH

Please park across the street at the Showtime Dance Studio and walk across as we have limited parking on site.
The Farm on Central is an 8-acre urban farm located in Carlisle, Southwest Ohio, founded in 2020 by the Kilpatrick family. We produce vegetables, flowers, fruits, horticulture greenhouse products, have a farm bakery, produce wellness products, and value-added products. We have a heavy emphasis on community with lots of farm activities and events, including popular U-Pick berry experiences for strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries that attract over 3,000 visitors annually for strawberries alone. The Farm on Central is also an educational center and trial farm for our Growing Farmers Educational company.
The farm grows for our year-round on-farm retail store located on a 12,000 car-a-day road, Farm Box CSA Membership, home delivery service, E-commerce sales, and wholesale to grocery stores and farm markets. We practice regenerative agriculture, avoiding synthetic herbicides, pesticides, fungicides, and treated seeds while enhancing soil health with compost, prebiotics, natural rock powders, and nutrients to yield nutrient-dense foods like fresh greens, herbs, eggs, milk, and honey. Operating as a Private Membership Association (PMA) From 2023- spring 2025, we emphasize transparency and community involvement in food production.
The Farm on Central store sees an average of 450 customer visits a week. We now manage 18 acres all within the city limits. Our online e-commerce sends out over 10,000 orders each year. We’ve invested heavily in infrastructure over the last couple of years and now have over a 1/2 acre of covered greenhouse/hoophouse production, 600 sq ft of refrigerated storage, and some pretty cool farm tools.
During the tour, you’ll start in our greenhouse, move onto the fields, our processing spaces and into our store to show the product journey. You will look at efficiency investments they have made, some of the equipment they have invested in, and some of the key parts of what allows the farm to be a profitable venture. Michael and crew will share some of the challenges they’ve had along the way and how they’ve adapted!
Friday schedule
Then, arrive at Aberlin Springs by 8.30 to enjoy a day of hands on classes, farm and orchard tours, and the second day of Rogue.
We have created a wide array of classes – from how to dry brine meats, improve your gut microbiome, detox your house. Grab a tour of the Aberlin Spring’s farm and orchard, learn how to source local food more affordably and efficiently, or how about how to make easy sourdough creations with traditional, heritage grains like Spelt , Kamut, and Einkorn?
There will be great things to do all day, along with lots of sponsors and vendors to see along with just enjoying the glories of Ohio in the Fall!
There are options for anyone and everyone, from a real local food beginner to those who have been at this for years.
